Black_Hawk_Down.
Something is wrong with that pink vinyl edition. There's much hissing in So Heavy I Fell Through The Earth, the high frequencies sound dusty.
Ť.ħ.ê_Ĉ.õ.о.Ł
The cut on the vinyl versions is poor. Its muddy and has little stereo soundstage it might as well be mono. Check out the digital deluxe or any digital edition of this album to hear the difference.
Kulabandis
Ive always wanted to get into Grimes, as I've been intrigued by her visuals and after giving this album a try, I was eager to add this release to my collection. The mix between the deep cuts and the upbeat ones was pleasant. The packaging is good quality with probably one of the sturdiest inner sleeves in my collection. The pressing is so beautiful and is so quiet!
Uanabimo
what a journey! to be honest I was waiting for her I was sure that som catchy song would be there cuz its Grimes . but the entire Album and the spirit of digital art and media Stuff she is adding to the whole project was more than my expectation. the album is sweet for wide range of listeners. idea of Wanymph was a simple cool decision she did, to take care of baby for the time she can't be present at the show or other event, asking a digital creature to be there . the album deserves much more ratings, its not easy to make something than art angles. and this album is different and Amazingly Beautiful
Bev
It’s super quiet which is weird, but barely any pops or surface noise besides near before the fever. Otherwise it’s great.
Ishnjurus
Interesting how the red version contains the club mix of violence, but the pink contains the original.
uspeh
I just listened to the vinyl again to make sure, but this version does NOT have the club mix of Violence.
Unirtay
for real?? i NEED the club mix on vinyl but haven't heard anything, my copy is shipping with the new purity ring!
JUST DO IT
It's entertaining and catchy from a purely musical perspective. but the intention of this record makes it hard to take seriously for me. It comes after she publicly dated a multi billionaire with commercial interests in climate change (as in, he is not an environmentalist, but a capitalist preparing to continue making money in the midst of a climate disaster), the CD sleeves describe dedication to her "shareholders".. It's supposedly intended to be a "fun" take on climate change, yet misanthropy is easily the most dull take on climate change i can think of, and the outcome of that is large numbers of humans dying, definitely not fun. Grimes seems lacking in self awareness to be putting out songs full of these ideas, especially given the current context of climate disaster caused by billionaire capitalists. "Delete Forever" and "Darkseid" are standouts for me. "Violence" sounds very similar to "I remember" by Deadmau5 from a few years back, a lot of it reminds me of her album Visions. I liked all of Grimes's previous albums but this one is not really doing it for me.
SARAND
It’s a good album and sounds great, but it really peeves me off that the people who spend the most money on her art get an abbreviated version of it
AGAD
Completely agree, but it is what it is. It's her last album with this label, also I doubt it was up to her
Kulalas
albums are typically 20 minutes per side. anything more risks the sound quality on the inner grooves. why not double vinyl?
Mori
The quality of this release is great, really love this record. Not sure why they chose to put the edited down versions of the tracks on the record. The album is 44 minutes long which would've fit fine onto one disc fine but for some reason they shaved 6 minutes off the runtime. Strange.
Kalv
Grimes probably wanted the quality of the vinyl to be good. Maybe that’s why.

a magical album! i do wish it came with a cute poster though.
Delari
Record sounds great and starts off with a bang with "So Heavy". The translucent bright pink matches the cover and aesthetic very well. No complaints on my end and enjoying the music (So Heavy and Delete Forever being my favorite so far)
Steelraven
Can someone confirm the EAN's for the pink or black version having 2 or 1 as the last digit?
Nten
The barcode printed on my pink copy has 1 as the last digit, however, on the shrinkwrap there's a sticker placed on top of it with a different barcode (ending with 2).
Dagdage
My pink version has 1 as the last digit of the EAN.
Drelajurus
Copy is marked as limited pink, but got black vinyl instead. Shop said every copy they had was having this issue. Anyone else having this problem?
Sat
Agree, black pressing sounds clean & quiet. It's a decent heavyweight pressing, maybe100gram?
Gribandis
think yourself lucky - black vinyl sounds better :-) .
Bodwyn
Are they gonna do a separate listening for the ones coming with the signed insert, overall I enjoy the biodegradable packaging for this album, same material as the pang album by Caroline polachek, both two great artists with amazing albums
Kipabi
The signed insert came packaged separately from the LP - which came sealed with both versions - so they are the same under Discogs guidelines.
Kaghma
Signed white vinyl sounds good; relatively quiet. ngl the music itself kinda sucks though.
Zolorn
Technically, that is UPC stickered for the Canadian market, with the domestic record company's UPC/bar code, as released in Canada from Crystal Math Music (CM80207LP1) and distributed via Universal Music Canada.
misery
Really great mixing on this, the music is busy and this pressing captures it well with a defined low end. My copy is silent. Pink is pretty.
Lilegha
Of the pink, white and black pressings - can any one comment on which one sounds the best and worst?
Ynap
I only own the pink pressing and, like user  ricstultz, can confirm that it sounds is great: flat, no pops or crackles and with a dynamic sound stage. The one thing I will say is that, like the recent Squarepusher LP, the volume is pretty low and you'll have to crank it up a bit. This came as a bit of a surprise, given that the digital versions of singles like 'So Heavy' sounded pretty loud, but it was probably the only way to fit nearly 40 min of busy music onto 1 LP and it's definitely better than brickwalling it!The other issue is that they included the shorter Algorithm mixes on the LP, instead of the Art mixes, but that's a different matter unrelated to pressing quality.
Sorryyy
Signed copy here. It came with an extra, sturdier insert with Grimes's signature. The record itself is incredible. No issues here. Perfection all around.
Drelalen
I received the same from a UK seller, and was going to post a comment as I assumed this was how it was originally sent by 4AD. Album was sealed.
Whatever
Why not use the Art mixes? Plenty of space on the 1 LP. Disappointing.
Just_paw
Because there will be no motivation to buy the 10 year anniversary box set.
Abywis
I decided to buy the CD for this one: half the price of the vinyl, includes the Art mixes, and I don't have to deal with 4AD/Independent Record Pressing's inconsistent pressing quality. The only downside is that the CD is probably brick-walled, but whatever.
Rainbearer
Fool-Me-Thrice The first being with the omission of Realiti on Art Angels. #NeverForget
Debeme
GarionOrb   Fool-Me-Thrice - I've just come to accept that Grimes will always skimp on the vinyl. It's because she's trying to curry favor with our future AI overlords, who will find vinyl offensively inaccessible.

spiderjerusalemOX I don't think you would have been able to fit it all onto 1 LP. Each side is already bordering on 20 min as it is, which is probably why the pressing is so quiet that you need to crank up the volume. For the full Art mixes, you'd have needed 2 LPs, but, as  smudgefish said, this would have increased costs all around.I agree it sucks, though. 'So Heavy' in particular has a nice ambient bit towards the end which is missing from this version. What's worse, you don't even get a download code, so you could at least download the Art mixes. I have some other records which have been edited down for length, but it's usually barely noticeable. On this one, I can actually notice what's been cut and it will take some getting used to. Yeah, lack of a download in this scenario is really a kick in the pants. Not surprised at the corners being cut here though, 4AD has not put out great sounding stuff of late. The last two Big Thief albums come to mind. Music's great, vinyl pressings not so much.

smudgefish My guess: since grimes considers herself a producer first and singer second maybe she preferred less quantity to maintain quality (increased dynamic range and avoiding IGD). Alternatively, could just be record company trying to guarantee a higher profit (a second LP means second master and stampers but is rarely double the retail cost). I agree though, it sucks. Yep. And this is the 2nd time the record label has done this kind of thing in skimping on the vinyl release. The first being with the omission of Realiti on Art Angels.

Jogas
I can confirm that my copy came with a signed insert.
Winn
If this version is signed by the artist, shouldn't this be mentioned under 'Format'?
Gagas
My copy came with a signed insert as an extra item which is the same as the non-signed insert housed inside the sealed record.
