Picked this up at a local record store, and the record was purple marble rather than the pictured black marble. I guess there must be a lot of colours out there, anywayThe audio quality isn't amazing. Comparing to a 256kbps rip from this CD that I've been listening to for the last couple of years, https://www.discogs.com/Kanye-West-Yeezus/release/4708240 , it sounds slightly muffled and has the usual surface noise during quiet sections of songs that is found on most bootlegs I've listened to. Unless you get it cheap I wouldn't bother picking this up for a audiophile experience, it's more of a collectors thing which I'm fine with. However using the mixing console in my setup I turned up the high frequencies a lot and the low frequencies a bit, and that made the record sound a lot brighter, so it is salvageable.I'll also mention that the drums on Black Skinhead that supposed to only play in the left channel, play in both channels on this LP so I was kinda disappointed by that.I can't compare this to older Yeezus bootlegs but for the apparent price I've seen this at it could be way worse. I've enjoyed listening to it but my CD definitely sounds way better, even compressed.

LOL I can't believe I didn't notice this - this is a streaming rip of the album, as it includes the update where he removes the background instrumental over one his lines on "Send It Up". I can't believe I didn't notice before. So yeah lol guess I gotta go look for an earlier bootleg now

Easily the most based album of all time and my personal favorite from Ye. The clipping distortion, disharmonic feedback, strange sounds and everything is peaked to the max on this LP. There are some minor crackling and clicking on the record, so the production could use some work but other than that this is Ye's most interesting release to date. The blank jewel case thing is surreal however with my copy just being covered with a orange sticker with some production credits and a FBI warning sticker. It adds to the record's attitude and presentation. 9/10.

Lots of surface noise. Not terribly impressed. Also, the jacket is significantly smaller than a standard LP jacket. The inner white sleeve sticks out a small amount on the side, and it was not shipped with one, just had the record inside the jacket.

Not a bad pressing at all! There is a skip in Bound 2, the album is noisy, and inner groove distortion really rears its head here; Hold My Liquor and Bound 2 sound awful. If you really love Kanye and need Yeezus on vinyl, this definitely isn't the worst possible bootleg out there. Just don't buy this expecting the best quality ever since, you know, it's a bootleg.

GREAT album, sleek and innovative cover design going with the blank cover. Annoying that it's an actual sticker (with mine I peeled it carefully so that the red would still be on the cover LMAO) the CD comes loose in the case very easily, so it is frustrating having to put it back in over and over. Other than that it's great love the album.

Very noisy, almost too noisy. Also mine was quite warped. Otherwise a decent copy - did notice some strange distortion going on with Bound 2, but no skips like I've read about on other pressings.

As expected, this pressing is pretty awful. The surface noise is incredibly present and becomes unbearable on some tracks, notably Blood On The Leaves. On top of that, the music is pitched up very notably, almost to the point of it becoming comical. Also, the Bound 2 skip issue on other pressings is also here. I say cop it if you want a Yeezus boot, but it isn't something I'd listen to casually. The orange vinyl looks pretty dope though.EDIT: The high pitch issue is only present on the first 2-3 songs on each side.

The cassette comes wrapped with the red sticker, just like the CD. Unfortunately the sticker is on the wrapper so it won't stay unless you keep it sealed. The quality of the audio itself starts out fine at first but gets extremely poor toward the middle section, and then clears up again toward the end. Since it's only 10 dollars from UO it's probably worth the purchase.

I also had the skip, but 'plowed' through it with the needle. The skip happened in a pretty convenient place, where there was a transition, and now I can't tell where the skip used to be.

(Quick Review #3)Listen: 4th or 5th (I'll go with 5th)It's growing on me a lot. I really enjoy the style more I listen to it. However it isn't deep, aside from new slaves most of the songs are just songs to jam to and enjoy the sonic style of and the lyrics complement that. Nothing here contributes to an overall theme, and while that dissapoints me, this isn't a concept album like MBDTF was. I can appreaciate this album as just a fun album to put on and enjoy.Light to Decent 8

Even Rick Rubin has stated that he felt that the album was rushed an urged him to not drop this bunch of a noise. Kanye has done some incredible things for hip hop in the past so it would be ignorant of anyone to discredit him as a whole artist. But in this case he just threw something up and slapped a sticker that said "modern art" on it and called it a day. He succame to the old $ over music problem.

It's fine if you're collecting to collect, especially since it's pretty cheap to get your hands on, but it sounds terrible (at least my copy)—surface noise throughout the whole thing and distortion is especially bad on the inner songs, probably because they crammed both sides up so much. Maybe a 2xLP would've been better.

The vinyl has a fair amount of noise, but is still listenable and shouldn't bother a casual listener. The sleeve is flimsy and slightly off-colored, but considering this wasn't pressed by Def Jam or Roc-A-Fella, it's about the best you can hope for. As a huge fan of this album, I'd say it's worth the price.

Bound2 also has a skip, and gets very noisy and distorted in the second half, which is a shame as it's one of my favorite tracks of the album.

I have this and it sounds soooo so bad, it's actually funny. New Slaves and Hold My Liquor sound slightly sped up to fit on Side A, the runout groove is tiny which would support that theory. Also it sounds compressed as hell, like the speakers are blown out.The labeling is nice though, it looks very official for a bootleg. Otherwise kind of a novelty buy.

It sounds really good for an unofficial album. their really isnt any static sound and it looks good with it being on a clear marble color. there are some skips on my vinyl tho but it isnt that bad its only like a 1 sec. skip. most of my official have skips on them too so im not complaining. other than that its great cause i love this album

I pressed the needle gently on that part where it was skipping and it somehow corrected the groove [or something, I'm no scientist] ... And every time I played the song after that the skip went away. However, I took back my copy because the static noise / sound quality on the last songs of both sides was irksome. I didn't know this was a bootleg until I brought it back. I would like to have the album on vinyl so I may consider buying it back again, but it seems strange there's not enough of a following of vinyl collectors for an official pressing to be released.

the sound is roughly cd quality as far as my copy is concerned. my copy includes Bound 2, but it gets stuck on a skip in the middle of the song so not great. dont know if this is a defect on my lp, or all of them. would like to hear from others who have this. overall its fun to have versions of new slaves, blood on the leaves, etc in vinyl form...if youre a nerd.

Mine does not get stuck, but has a loud crack in the middle of the track. In general, I’m pretty disappointed by the sound quality of the record, although I knew I shouldn’t expect to much. But this bad? Amazing album though.

On my copy, "Bound 2" plays fine. I have a pretty light VTF as well, for whatever that's worth. Definitely agree with the quality, it's pretty average. Cool record to have, though. Glad "Bound 2" is actually on mine, but if an official release comes out I'll definitely buy it.

Hey man, I have the LP with Bound 2 on it and it also has a skip on the 1st hook. I ran my fingernails through it cos i thought it was a scratch and it doesn't skip any more, it just makes a click sound and carries on playing, so give that ago! There must be a problem with the way the records were pressed.

I agree this bootleg is of really good quality, but the only thing i would like to add is that I recentlybought this lp and it in fact does contain the track "Bound 2" along with the other tracks on the regular release- i dont know if this means their were multiple pressings with the same code #s (KANYEYEEZUS002- Clear plastic) or why their seems to be a difference; nonetheless I amglad that my vinyl includes the track...

It seems very short. That's probably a good thing, because I rewind my tape copy straight away to listen again. There's a lot of stuff in this. So much so that although there are breaks between songs, some 'parts' seem to belong to other songs. It's a giant medley, without feeling like a pastiche of 30 years of music. It's amazing. When I heard his Tears For Fears cover a few years ago I freaked, but when I heard what I thought was the Aphex Twin on the first track I freaked also. English is my first language, but I never realised that holy rhymed with matrimony! I don't know who listens to this record, no one I know has it. But then I'm a loner. I'm a loner.

Sounds pretty darn good and clean for a bootleg, nice low end. Happy with the pressing and really enjoyed the album.

Bound 2 is in fact missing, despite it being listed on the label. That said, the quality of this record, while remarkably good for a bootleg, is definitely no better than the quality of the official releases. I think this is more of an odd little collector's item than one for listening.

Like this album quite a bit. I prefer the minimal production over the painstakingly detailed stuff like on Dark Twisted Fantasy. It sounds much more playful and improvised and I actually find myself laughing about some of the lyrics, even though they often reflect some serious issues like racism and sexism; although those issues are downtrodden I still find it much easier to engage with 'm here because of the humor and playfullness throughout the album. There's also a cynical undertone here which we have heard before in Kanye West's music, but he's more angry here and much less sorry form himself than on DTF. I appreciate the anger. Maybe it's not a musical masterpiece because well, we heard all the lyrical themes before in Kanye's work and the production is extreme, but not original either. However, the production is very good and the lyrics resonate with me personally and I would definitely say it's another personal landmark for mr. West. It probably pisses some people off but I wish there were more mainstream artists that would once in a while deliberately piss off their fanbase.

I think that when Yeezus comes out on vinyl, it will have a transparent sleeve, with the A-side label being plain red and the B-side label being white with the text "go to kanyewest.com for tracklist and credits". The sleeve will have a Parental Advisory label on the front and the back will have the legend "(C) 2013 Def Jam Recordings" printed in the middle.

Hope it will, cause it sounds really great... but Kanye has never really been into that, and some vinyl versions of his previous records had a poor audio quality. Many fans hope they'll do a simple white cover and a transludent LP...

I think the album is really dissapointing. His narcist attitude is starting to annoy. At first it was funny, but come on, everybody already knows he loves himself, still he cannot find anything else to rap about. The beats are all over the place and some of them sound like they are made by a twelve year old using Fruity Loops. The only good track is Bound 2, which has a lovely beat and kinda reminds me of College Dropout and Late Registration. Guess I had my hopes up too high after MBDTF.
