I've only seen pictures of volume 1, it's often a 4 figure record when it does come up for auction. Much thanks, really appreciate the response.
I think the more valuable predates this one by a few months and can therefore be considered the "original" first release. The more valuable one has the cover of both Graves and Pullen and usually includes a vinyl pressing with a yellow label. This second one usually comes with a red, different label, on "IPS" (and not on "SRP" like the first yellow label, which also has a "deep groove"). Also, there's a "hybrid" version around, with the second cover (Graves alone with a drum), but including a first yellow label deep groove vinyl pressing on "SRP". Very confusing...And what about Vol. I?? These two are supposed to be Vol. II, I don't think I've ever seen Vol. I...
I think vol. 1 is Don Pullen - Milford Graves ‎– In Concert At Yale University. Just look at the tracks of both records. You'll understand
Anyone know the difference between these releases besides the obvious? Curious as to why one seems to be more valuable than the other. Thanks!
